How to Make a DIY Spring Flower Wreath

With spring just days away I couldn't wait to bring some color into our home. I figured no better way than a colorful wreath! While scrolling through my Pinterest Crafts board, I found some really fun tutorials, so I decided to give it a shot! I hope you enjoy making your wreath just as much as I did! 

SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED:

• Floral Stem Wire - 18 Gauge
• Floral Stem Wire - 20 Gauge 
• Floral Tape
• Assortment of Artificial Flowers - I purchased Ashland flowers from Michaels, which were 50% off! I bought 1 floral tile with Dahlia, Hydrangea and Garden Roses, 1 Eucalyptus Stem, 1 Bush of Berry Stems. (The two larger flowers in the picture below were not used on the wreath. The stems and the flowers themselves ended up being too heavy, so I decided not to use them.)
• Wire Cutters 

WHAT TO DO:

Step 1: Take three 18 gauge floral stem wires and shape them. You just want to round them out so together they can form a wreath.

Step 2: Twist together the wires to form one full circle. You will likely start in the middle of each wire.

Step 3: Adjust the shape of your wreath once the wires are all intertwined.

Step 4: Cut a piece of floral tape and wrap it around the step of one of your flowers. This will help the wire grip onto it.

Step 5: Cut a piece of 20 gauge stem wire 

Step 6: Wrap part of the wire around the stem of the flower 

Step 7: Wrap the other part of the wire around your wreath. You want to make sure the wire secures the flower onto your wire wreath. 

Repeat steps 4 through 7 until you have filled your whole wreath! Layer in your greenery and you are all done!
