Meaning Behind this Quote - "You Got This"

My journey to owning my own business started around this time 3 years ago! I was freshly married and fully inspired from all the pretty things I purchased on Etsy for my wedding. There were two things I knew for sure at that time - that I wanted to be my own boss and the time was now. I literally had many sleepless nights trying to figure out WHAT business I wanted to start. I scoured the internet for ideas and inspiration, and then one day I read about a book recommendation - The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. It was then that I had my "AHA" moment... I realized you don't need a storefront, business plan, or a  an insane amount of products to get started. What you need is a product or service, passion and way for people to pay you!

How Pretty Collected Was Born

To make a long story short, I bought myself a Silhouette Cameo, watched some tutorials on how to design products and use the machine, and started making products. My very first products were cake toppers, banners, and photo booth props. They were easy to make, my customers loved them, and I was making a profit in less than two months! I have obviously evolved since then, and I no longer make or sell any of those products, but one thing is for sure..... that is where I got started and that will never change!

From Side Hustle to Full Time Job

At that time I was doing this as a side hustle with the goal of turning it into my full time job. When times got tough and I was exhausted from working two jobs, being a mom, and a wife I would silently tell myself "you got this". If you ever feel like you want to start your journey to being your own boss, I want to tell you "you got this". If you are just having a bad day and need a pick me up, I want to tell you "you got this"!! If you just want to make sure you kick ass today, then again "you got this"!
